It was a good experience to work on something in a team and also on a project that we could define ourselves. I was able to use knowledge that I had learned in previous classes, and also learned new things.

In the beginning I was a bit worried about how the teams would be chosen, but our team worked great together. I think it even helped me to get through my challenging workload this spring, when I knew that at least in this class I wasn't doing everything on my own.

Watching the presentations was fun, and after seeing a few presentations it made me more relaxed about presenting myself, because the atmosphere was so laid-back and low-pressure.

Thanks to the teacher first of all I must say in this course I had the maximum amount of learnings. It was great to be a part of this course and I believe that all the participants were very helpful, even though I was the only international or non Finnish speakers in order to make me understand everything everyone gave presentation in English. I have already recommended this course to many of my friends so I must say the course is not only a university curriculum course but also something that makes you learn what real life approach to projects are

It was definitely interesting and a good learning opportunity to work on a single project for the entire semester.

This was my first time working on a project of this scale and nature(IT) and I felt that it was a very good experience.

My group and I learnt a lot about developing extensions, firefox and how much websites track their users during the course.

Also making project plans and reporting to "management" about the progress was new to me.

I felt that this experience and knowledge will be useful in work life because I imagine that there will be projects of this scale rather then 5 slide powerpoint presentation.

The presentations were all interesting and it was nice to present in English for a change. I also tried to practice my commenting and feedback skills by actively trying to think of interesting questions to ask at the end other peoples presentations.

I thought that the guidance given in the steering meetings was satisfactory.

Overall I enjoyed the course and it was really exciting to see how the other groups turned their ideas into incredible and functional products.

I would recommend this course for people who have taken most of the ICT and infra courses who want to apply what they have learned into practice.

My only worry for people thinking about taking this course is finding a group but I believe this course attracts like minded people so I wouldn't worry about that ( I felt that the groups formed pretty smoothly for this course).

This was extreamly educational course. I learned a lot of different things like coding with go, project management stuff and overall teamwork. Go was a new for me and i had to learn the basics quite quick, also PM stuff was new for me.

I think this has been one of the most usefull courses in HH as i got actually something that i can show what i did, and the skills i learned were usefull imo.

Teros guidance and advice was really good, and helped at least me to guide this project a lot. I also liked that Tero made some changes based on feedback, so I appreciate that.

I enjoyed the course a lot, it was hard, and frustrating often, but rewarding at the end. I would reccommend this course for anyone who is at the end of their studies!

I learned quite a lot from this course. It was quite different from anything i've taken earlier in school but in a good way.

Before starting I knew the general idea behind intrusion detection systems, but the gap between knowing and actually deploying was huge. We basically started with zero knowledge of wazuh and ansible wasn't in our original plan at all. So the plan changed a lot while we were progressing. The course lasted from january to may and we progressed also as a team. Teamwork and tools we learned are going to be useful in the future.

It was a nice add to recompile everything we've made in a week and gave 30min round up to Tero with also chance to ask questions. I also liked the people i worked with and it was well planned at the start of the course to get to know each other.

For improvement I think you could make each other from the course to test their projects (if they are system based) which I think most of them are. For them to get validation. Maybe 2 weeks before returning/finishing the projects,

But the course overall was nice, I think i've recommended this to one person in school(different class).

hank you again everyone for this course, especially Tero and Harto.

We finished this four-month mammoth of a course with high hopes and dreams. After all the 'basic' courses, this gave us a taste of what’s coming. It offered an ideal way of learning through our own mistakes and 'just doing the job'.

Tero was a great weekly mentor, and even when he didn’t agree with our decisions, we had full freedom to follow our own path.

This was fun. 5/5 - would recommend. I have no notes on how to make it better. The projects are exactly as good as the work the teams put into them – and the whole idea here is just to do the work. The teacher will guide if needed, but the team does the actual work.

Congrats for finishing your project & thanks for the course!

Feedback was excellent 4.6/5. The most common feedback (mode) was 5.

You enjoyed your teams and your project. The freedom to apply existing knowledge to solve challenges.

The areas for improvement would be more advice for time management, more similar level of guidance. Managing oneself and the project requires a lot of skill and grit, and this should be made clear from the start.

Links to your projects (and previous ones) are in https://terokarvinen.com/infra-project/#student-projects

See you in our future courses (or congrats for graduating),

The course was very much interesting and gave a wonderful chance for the participant to learn more about approaching a project, their way of learning and applying the things we can use when trying to solve problems from multiple angles.

One thing to maybe give more examples in addition to previous projects might be examples of keeping track ie. weekly meetings, scrum or any other such method basics.
