Well... What JP and Miika said!
One thing to add:
Would be cool idea, to do these projects in collaboration with different orientations also.
For example Software Development with ICT-Infra.

As Jari-Pekka Ollikainen stated, this course is highly recommended for people who are motivated and interested in working on a project where the topic can be chosen by yourself or with a team that has similiar goals or interests. Working and learning new stuff is easier and more fun when done with like-minded people.

To me this course was like a hobby and I enjoyed every second of working with the project both independently and with the team.

Project presentations at the end of the course were interesting to see! Wish we had more students and project groups in the course.

10 credits to choose and create your own project. Sounds good? I recommend taking this course.

I also think that courses like these are the most beneficial as they provide freedom to be creative and the opportunity to work with other people.

Hi, Jari-Pekka. We (me and Harto) are very happy to get extensive feedback, thank you for taking the time to write it.

Doing the presentations with another group is an interesting idea.

Apologies for the wall of text. TLDR; check the last chapter.

This course is highly recommended if you're an individual who likes to learn things independently. You get to choose the topic yourself (it has to be accepted by the instructors, of course). But having a say in the subject of the project plays a huge role in commitment to your project.

Although there is a huge component of independent work, you are provided with good guidance that challenges you to strive for better results. Thanks for that, Tero!

As for feedback on the course, I wouldn't change it too much. Maybe it would be interesting to collaborate with other similar courses to have more projects by other students presented to us at the end. Other than that, the independence of work was well balanced with guidance.

But at the end of the day, the project is in your (and your groups) hands. You get to make the key decisions about the project. And this translates into learning about subjects that are in your scope of interests.

Besides learning new stuff, there is also an aspect of deepening your already-learned skills and knowledge. You get to put your know-how to use, hopefully with a team with similar goals and interests.

I highly recommend taking the course even if you don't have a specific project in mind. I certainly didn't, but I found a group with like-minded students and figured it out from there. And I received a set of skills that can be applied to my future career.
