The course was a combination of a lot of independent work with the guidance of the teachers, pointing us towards the right direction regarding each project. This included weekly meetings, which for me at least were essentially what led to getting my project as far as it progressed.

The course taught me a lot of new things such as Python Requests which I would have likely never came across by myself.

5/5 would recommend to anyone looking to develop something interesting.

- Did I learn something?

I had the opportunity to build something that can be useful at least for me. The learning curve was steep since I am not from the programming profile but it gave me pointers and from the presentations that it can be done and self-development can be achieved.

- Is it useful in working life?

As a project, it had its benefits like team cooperation and time schedule. My part in the project was to build sensors and I can not think of its applicability in working life.

- How did it feel?

At first, I had the feeling I am out of place due to my lack of the topic but still managed to finish the course. Even though my part seems small, for me it gave the opportunity to learn new things from my team as well as the presentation.

- How was the guidance?

The guidance was excellent. Harto did everything he can to make us feel that no matter what the project was it had a value to us and the course. He kept us involved and gave good pointers on how to continue forward. It is just great.

- How did you like the presentations? Presenting, commenting?

The presentations were different and rewarding. I am glad to be a part of this course. The topics are so different and so was the way they were presented. It involved me and the whole class even though the subject matter is way out of my league. I understood their project, got to know the team, and learn new things along the way.

- How could we improve the course?

The project selection lacks personal interest. I had topics that I wanted to work on, but the course is a teamwork, and I had no choice but to vote on something that I do not want to do. The starting level requirements do not match the project done. The course can also prepare projects for those who can not come up with ideas for a project.

- Would you recommend the course? If so, to whom?

Yes, I would recommend the course. For a student who is more interested in programming as well as in the infrastructure course. For non-programmer fields I would tell them if they have side interest otherwise the top group are quite a good fit.

Did learn something?
Yes, I made my steps with Python language. I discovered the very nice framework that is Django

Is it useful in working in life?
Yes it, because in our jobs we will most probably working on a project

How did it feel?
It was a lot of work but in the end I liked it. Also we could have planned so that our workload is less at the end. Also in the beginning we didn't know each other with Eetu. So it tooks somes weeks to learn how to work together as a group.

How was the guidance?
Good, maybe a few physical meeting would have been good as well

How did you like the presentations? Presenting, commenting?
I enjoyed presenting, because it was a small audience. Everyone was interested in the subjects and listening.

How could we improve the course?
Make contact with companies in the Uusimaa region. Ask what their needs are in order to propose projects based on real needs and for students to contribute

Would you recommend the course? If, to whom?
I recommend it at the middle of the semester to another double-degree student from my home uni (HES-SO). He wanted to enrol for it but unfortunately there are not upcoming implementation for next semester

- Did learn something? I did learn something like setting up Django in a public server
- is it useful in working life? 100% I feel like I will be able to use this in the future
- How did it feel? It was very intense and hard but also very fun!
- How was the guidance? guidance was great, always got great feedback and teachers were very knowledgeable
- how did you like the presentations? Presentations were interesting also people were actually interested in the subjects
- How could we improve the course? I very much liked this course and honestly to me there was not much that needs to be improved honestly
- Would you recommended the course? I would definetly recommend this course! Anyone who wants to build portfolio and get more experience in projects but you definetly have to have some knowledge in ICT or a lot of motivation to learn about new things related to ICT

- The course was great and offered a lot of opportuity to learn a lot of knew things. Especially since you get to choose what you want to do and learn more about.
- For me there was a lot of useful knowledge gained and learned when it comes to my project. This will definately come in handy in the future.
- The guidance you get is relatively free, which means that with this given freedom there is also a lot of responsibility to really get things done. So it is important to pick a project that you are motivated to complete and interested in.
- The presentations were very interesting and we got to see a wide variety of different projects and solutions.
- How to improve the course: This is hard to answer, in one way it feels maybe stronger guidance would benefit some teams, but on the other hand this would hinder the freedom to follow your own dream projects and you might miss out on something great. So I wouldnt change anything.
- I would highly recommend this course to anyone. It applies project management and practical work, which is used in a project of your free choice. But I definately would not recommend this course if you need strong guidance and can't come up with any project ideas yourself. Nobody is gonna hold your hand here, but you definately will recieve help from the teachers if you need it.

Congratulations to the students and teachers who completed the projects. A major aspect of the project was learning the skills required for my current job. The experience of learning and implementing new technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab pipelines were very rewarding.

Other teams' presentations were amazing and interactive as they all worked hard to build something from scratch.

The weekly guidance from the teachers has been immensely useful in steering the project timelines. There should be more on-campus activities with teachers present, however.

Definitely recommend this course to students who want to work in a team and build something with like-minded individuals. 10 ECTS were worth it.

Thanks, Tero and Harto!

The course provided a blank canvas to test our own ideas. This was great to learn more about the topic of choice, but as a project manager it also provided some good project mplanning and management experience. I would recommend the course to anyone who is interested in infra or operations related topics. Tero and Harto complement eachother well. The guidance was there but left enough freedom to test our own ideas properly.

- Did we learn something?
SDR Signal Processing is a very cool but complicated subject, we learned a lot though from this project. Technologies used were Python, TensorFlow, YOLO, GNURadio, SoapySDR and we got to use hardware devices like HackRF and RTLSDR.

- Is it useful in working life?
The way of approaching this project is useful because it is more representative of working life versus a pre-determined casus.

- How did it feel?
It was a bit of a mixed bag; we loved working on the project and learning more about SDR, but at the same time the information was limited and sometimes very hard to grasp.

- How was the guidance?
Good.

- How did you like the presentations? Presenting, commenting?
I think the presentations were well tought out and people had very cool projects. There was a lot of different approaches to manage and execute projects which was interesting to see.

- How could we improve the course?
Maybe arrange weekly meetings at pre-determined intervals, that way both the teachers and the students are up-to-date on each others progress.

- Would you recommend the course? If so, to whom?
Yes, we would recommend the course. It gives you a lot of freedom to work on projects you have always wanted to make and there is a lot of technological guidance avaliable to help you complete it succesfully!

Kiitos paljon for the course :)
